    I have been working at Morgans Hotel Group full-time (less than an year)


    Most front line people care and and are enthusiastic regarding guest relations. Hotel product is unique, on trend and the decor and theme of the hotels tells a story that represents its origin.


    Sales staff is a revolving door in the southeast. No stability. Management is not visionary and has no clue on he direction they would like to go with their hotels, Thus leaves an unsettling feeling among employees to take pride and hope in their future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Determine your niche in the market place with a defined vision and consistent voice about who your hotels are. Invest in your online digital presence within your website and marketing. Invest in technology regarding your reservation center to ensure you are capturing all your revenue from bookings via GDS and OTAs. Technology is archaic. Invest in your people...401K, internal communication from senior mgmt., and strive to develop your people to be worldclass not mediocre.
