Used to be a good community, where they developed people and took a long term view. Also, it was full of very strong people technically.

They lost the sense of community by looking short term. That led to a number of layoffs--all of which may have been good short term actions, but it eroded the employee loyalty Mot--loyalty that had helped to make them successful. Also, it's hard to work for a company that is no longer successful. They seem stuck in industries, like wireless infrastructure, where they no longer have a chance of being one of the top suppliers.

    Advice to Management

Take a serious look at focus. See if you can do even a handful of things really well--such as the government and cable businesses.
