I have been working at Murphy USA full-time (more than an year)

Very supportive coworkers and middle management make this a good place to work. Benefits are pretty good. Strong focus is placed on involvement in the local communities where employees live and work.

Job descriptions do not reflect actual expectations placed on employees. It's very common to be asked to do extra stuff not even remotely close to what you are hired to do. New ideas fall on deaf ears at the executive level. Manager reward for sales contest performance is nice, but contests can be extremely confusing and nobody can explain where the numbers actually come from.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to new ideas without interrupting to say why they won't work. Ask yourself how you would feel if the roles were reversed every time you make your employees do extra work.
