Former Employee - Divisional Operations Coordinator in Indianapolis, IN

I worked at Muscular Dystrophy Association full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I loved the families we worked with. I loved traveling to all the districts I was in charge of. Events were wonderful as well.

    Cons

No one cares about anyone. After working there for over 6 years I was fired after being on medical leave to treat breast cancer. No severance, no vacation, nothing. Plus they fired me over the phone and promised to help me get short-term disability. That never happened. I was denied repeatedly and finally gave up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees better. I put in 60 hours a week for you, working nights and weekends and was a very dedicated employee. You fired me because I had a disability. Aren't you supposed to help people with disabilities???
