I have been working at Muscular Dystrophy Association full-time (More than 5 years)

Knowing you're making a difference in folks who have muscular dystrophy is extremely rewarding!

Although the "work week" is technically a 35-hour week, we work much longer hours! The AAs do get comp time, which they deserve. Our office could not function without our A-Team. The promotion opportunities is somewhat obtainable for the fundraisers but not for the AAs and HCSCs. They have quite a few titles for successful FCs but NONE for an AA. That is very sad. You risk losing great help because a simple decision takes "years".

    Advice to Management

Provide promotion opportunity for ALL employees: AAs, FCs, HCSCs and EDs. If you want to keep good, hard working, loyal employees then do something about it...SOONER rather than later! Losing great employees not only costs MDA money but it puts undo stress and pressure on current employees and we don't need more of that!
