    I worked at Mutual of Omaha (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You will learn how to live off of absolutely no income (note the sarcasm)

    Cons

    The worst decision I have ever made in my life is to work here. You can write contracts, do business and you will be given 0 leads as a reward. They tell you they're here for support, but it is a parasitic organization, literally finding every host possible to suck dry, then move on to the next. Every time I was in the office they were having interviews, promising false hope to young people to get them to bring in as much business as they can, then ultimately fail. After all, that's what a parasite does. Run for your life, and go find employment elsewhere. Their business model is to hire every person possible to bring in business, pay 0 salary, only commission, then nickel and dime the money back from their agents. Its like a bad Visa commercial: "Web access $9 first 3 months, then $49 a month for our outdated platform, mandatory business cards we didn't even ask if you wanted $17 (even though its $8 off vistaprint), E&O insurance $37, by the way, we will give you 0 leads for free, want a list of consumer # to call, you can buy that, want a lead in the future, if your'e nice enough we will grant you the honor of buying that too. By the way we have a meeting every Friday, but don't worry we wont pay you, you should just really soak in the sales advice and be happy to be here while we talk about all the people who don't work here anymore because "they didn't try enough", definitely not because people just buy their insurance off the internet now and we don't help them. This place is a bad joke. Ask someone there how long they've worked there, the answer is less than 10 months for 99.9% Let me tell you one last thing, when you're sitting in this interview or at a meeting as an "employee" just realize one thing, YOU ARE THEIR BEST CUSTOMER. Enjoy their false promises and BS rhetoric while you are still dull enough to believe them. RUN YOU FOOLS!!!

    Advice to Management

    Don't lie to people and tell them they have support. There is no support, you take peoples business and give them absolutely no prospects or leads in return. Maybe support your new agents with something more than prospects that bought things from people who don't work there anymore (orphans) because this is a terrible career choice.
