Former Employee - Intern in Lancaster, CA

I worked at NASA as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Lots of aircraft. Edward's is pretty much the go-to place for all amazing aircraft (besides the super secret stuff they got locked up in Area 51 and other Air Force Bases) Space Shuttle, F35, SR-71 all made its way down there. NASA does a lot of cool stuff at the facility as well. Have access to jump around and go see everything at the site.

    Cons

Location is terrible. Lancaster/Palmdale/Rosamond area is not exactly a great place to live. Couldn't see working there for more than a couple years. Great place, terrible location. Expect to spend 2 hours of your day and a tank of gas every week just to commute. Bring lots of sunscreen. Expect to drive hours out of town just to see water and a tree.
