I worked at NHL as an intern (more than an year)

Fun and engaging work, never a dull moment, great way to really understand what the sports landscape is like and what it will take out of you. Some managers are really great about helping and mentoring.

Like most sports, it's certainly a boy's club, and most people feel 'locked in'. There feels like there's little opportunity for advancement, and it will absolutely take up 90% of your time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please encourage thinking outside the box, creativity, and new strategies in your workers. I saw a lot of burnout while I was there. Appreciate your people's time and make them feel wanted, it's the only way you'll keep people.
