There's a great 403b, and you're able to work from home when you need to. The physical office environment is pleasant, and there's free coffee. If you're just starting out, you can gain some great skills.
Managers should have management training. You have a lot of high achievers (PhDs, etc.), but no organized management structure. Everyone is so afraid of losing their position that competition (for all the wrong reasons) is rampant. Rumors and gossip rule, and the higher-ups routinely throw those below them under the bus. While technically a non-profit, this is a place scared of displeasing their clients, so very much runs like a for-profit business.
Advice to Management
Conduct a real employee survey about the culture and environment.
