Former Employee - IT Analyst in Washington, DC
Former Employee - IT Analyst in Washington, DC

I worked at National Geographic full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Smaller group, good responsibility, access to c suite level professionals, great accommodations for people who ride bikes (can be important in the city)

    Cons

Knowledge hoarding, lower pay (non profit), no parking

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

try to do something special every once in awhile (even if not pay based) to reward outstanding performers. Since everybody gets the same raises you start to feel that you can do the min, middle or max work and the company looks at you the same way.
