I have been working at National Health Service full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The concept is brilliant and we have the best healthcare in the world, free at the point of contact and regardless of class, race, age or situation.

    Cons

Frontline staff feel underappreciated. Many work well beyond their hours and yet instead of realising this is effort driven by caring, the upper management structure sees a service which is coping and seeks to make further cuts.

    Advice to Management

Recognise that many staff really do care and will go above and beyond to achieve the best for their patients but need to feel appreciated and supported instead of told they are not achieving targets.
