I have been working at National Health Service full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Wage is not bad... But not enough for the awful working atmosphere.

    Cons

Bullying, managers who can't manage and pay lip service to policies to protect staff. Managers wasting money inventing pointless procedures to keep themselves employed but ignoring the workers when they get disillusioned. Its awful and miserable! I don't know who the chief executive of Airedale hospital trust is, I know her name but as far as i'm aware I've never seen her! Now that's bad!

    Advice to Management

Think about your staff. Make them feel needed and part of the whole. Stop the bullies before it gets too bad and makes staff Ill. This is not good for morale or work output. Stop using initials and jargon that only the execs understand when communicating with staff, we switch off because we've no idea why you're on about and you don't care to explain!
