Interesting project work, opportunities to interact with clients, great colleagues at the researcher level

Hours are long and unpredictable while the pay is significantly below market. Office culture is nonexistent and because the researcher level staff is expected to leave after 2-3 years, there is no investment in human capital at that level. Management is terrible and cannot handle any type of constructive feedback on how things are done in the firm. Having a PhD apparently equates to extremely poor managerial and communication skills and a large, fragile ego. If you are thinking about joining this firm, think about whether you want to spend your first years in the workforce at a company that does not provide you with any transferable skills, all while you are slaving away to make below market pay.
