I worked at New Directions Youth and Family Services full-time
The company (people higher up the company ladder) seems as if they genuinely care about the well-being of at-risk youth.
Lack of communication between supervisors and staff; upper management doesn't know what supervisors are doing; supervisors discriminate/retaliate if confronted by staff (happened to me.) Social workers do bare minimum for the kids and turn them against certain people during their sessions.
Advice to Management
Learn how to take criticism from staff, follow company policies instead of just policing the behaviors of your staff, provide evidence when terminating employees instead of wrongfully accusing them of something without proof, allow staff to defend themselves against accusations.
