I worked at Nordstrom part-time (More than a year)

    Pay is decent
Most people you work with are friendly and fun to be around
    Chance to show your style

Too many people in each department working at the same time
Management pushes sales too hard when there aren't even customers to sell to
Long hours on your feet and most days you aren't able to wear comfortable shoes
Managers don't lead by example, very hypocritical
Lots of multitasking while trying to maintain sales levels
No return policy, so net sales suffer and you get paid less

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing sales so much. I understand the point of this job is to sell, but how can you expect us to sell when the store is dead? Or have good numbers at the end of the week when we have tons of returns?

Also, please update the return policy. It is not fair to sales people that a customer can buy something, wear it and then return it up to a year later resulting in a decrease in that salespersons net sales.
