If you have the opportunity to leave NTRS then you should consider it (as in take that position)

Well, you get 3 weeks off which is fantastic. The people are nice but that should be somewhat expected. You work 8 hour days and then you go home. I work with some very competent people but then again there are also some very incompetent people. You have to pay for your own healthcare too.

Well people say 'it is what you make of it' which is utterly false since if your manager only manages and doesn't care about career growth or your personal growth(since he only watches out for himself only) then your trying to make something out of nothing. Career growth is limited to a few people and the rest of the peons can wallow in their own self pity. Don't expect to be told that you have done a good job unless you do a bad job in which case you will hear about it. Basically, there is no career growth and transferring within the bank to other areas is very difficult unless it's laterally. Their raises are pretty awful as is their starting salary. You won't learn many skill sets that are useful outside the bank too which is pretty bad!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Well management we all know you’re cheap and that's being nice about it. So keep up the good work of not being able to grow the company properly and then giving low raises at the end of the year or better yet removing raises from senior positions(which is great for moral). You have quite a bit of talent but you wouldn't how to use it even if you were given an instruction manual. There is a lot mediocrity at NTRS.
