  1.

A great company to work for initially, however after they were purchased by a private company they lost their focus.

I worked at Northern Natural Gas full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The grass roots field and management employees are engaging and helpful. Benefits are middle average among their peers. Salaries, time off , and other compensation are designed to fall into the 70th percentile of peer companies.

    Cons

The company is increasingly using automation and marketing practices to maximize income and reduce staffing of field employees. Automation in itself is a useful tool, but shouldn't be used as a tool to dilute jobs in a critically hazardous industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more receptive of recommendations from core employees and middle-management . IT and Engineering come in varying degrees of competencies.
