    Pros

    Pay is decent.
While I hate the annual ethics training, it does show how important it is to the company.
My position allows for minimal direct supervision, just get the work done and make the client happy and nobody will be breathing down your neck.
Good vacation and personal time off amounts.
    Good retirement contributions.

    Cons

A lot of the positions offered by Northrop Grumman are contracts that could be lost on any given year. In regards to that, the pay should be about 10% higher than competitive jobs that are less likely to go away.
Insurance deductibles might be industry standard, but if you want to be an exceptional company, bring them down considerably.

    Advice to Management

Occasionally, there are higher paying opportunities available for me that have no risk of losing a contract from a competitive bid. Some assurance that other projects would be available to keep developers employed would help keep developers from switching to a competitor for peace of mind. Consider a CDHP with a higher employer HSA contribution that bridges the gap in the deductible.

Also, allow employees to use their FSA funds towards the plan deductible before drawing from the HSA account. For instance, if I go to a Dr. for a visit, I can use my insurance card and it deducts the cost from the HSA balance and it counts towards my annual deductible. However, I am not able to have the visit count towards my annual deductible but pay it from my FSA account. I either have to let the funds come from the HSA to count towards the deductible, or I have to forgo the use of the insurance card and use the FSA account which will not get counted towards the annual insurance deductible. I don't like this at all because FSA funds are lost at the end of the year, while HSA funds roll over.
