I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The people here are the best thing about the job. Once you're in. You're part of a family. If you're a junior employee, you are able to ask questions and learn your job comfortably.

    Cons

On the shop floor, we don't gave many clear work instructions, but you are expected to work to those instructions. There is a lot of stuff done according to the "tribal knowledge" of people who have been here for a long time.

The equipment is archaic at least and hard to get new equipment or tools.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management, it seems, is working on all of the issues. I would say the biggest thing is making sure work instructions are reworked so that they are more clear and reliable.
