I worked at Octagon full-time (more than an year)

They have pretty good benefits. You have the opportunity to get tickets to the largest sporting events. They have great name recognition in the Sports, Athlete representation and Experiential Marketing field.

The company is not really diverse. Everybody pretty much looks the same. If you are of the lighter hue with blue eyes, and blonde hair...you are perfectly fine. If you are anything else, good luck moving up the food chain. As far as work life balance. It's work hard play harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrder. If you have a life,be ready to include Octagonians in it completely. If you don't drink, learn to order the drink with the least amount of alcohol to "fit in". So put your game face on and get in the game to play or get ready to be traded.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't just talk about diversity, actually implement it. You need to send secret spies disguised as event managers to see what is really going on in your experiential marketing departments. It's a mess with no true leadership and lackluster managers/ children trying to direct other fresh out of college individuals. Hold a mirror up to the organization and see if you are really presenting to the world what you say you are. You might get a different view.
