I have been working at OfficeMax

    Pros

It is better than being out of work, but it is just a job, not a career.

The health insurance is okay, but a bit pricey for an hourly associate.

    Cons

Upper level management has no idea of what it takes to work in the store. They make the dumbest policies that utterly fail.

The moral of the store associates is absolutely dismal.

It is difficult to make a living wage at OfficeMax.

    Seniority means nothing at OfficeMax.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You can't compete with Best Buy on technology products, stick with office products. Stop pressuring the associates to sell extended warranties and essential kits because you are chasing the customers away. You can't offer excellent customer service with only three employees working in an entire store.
