    I have been working at Ofgem full-time (more than 3 years)


    If you are looking for work in the public sector it may be a good starting point, especially if you are early in your career. It also helps to be proactive in be seen in doing things and play along with management's tune. Good pension scheme - if you can trust that you will get it back in the future. Good level of communication among colleagues


    The pay package is generally low. Staff retention is not on management's list of priorities. People with actual industry knoweldge may be perceived as people with unrealistic views. You need to be a political animal with low ambitions for your career to survive. Decsisions are not always based on the merits of the numbers, which can be very frustrating and demotivating for employees
