I have been working at Oklahoma State Department of Health full-time (More than 10 years)
good staff to work with. flexible hours. great insurance. Leadership is on the forefront of all health issues. Training is available with multiple opportunities for growth.
Leadership tends to push for requests to be finished in an unreasonable amount of time. Staff vacancies cause a problem as certified procurement officers are difficult to hire at their salary level. One tends to put in a large amount of overtime, which is only compensated through compensatory time for this position.
Advice to Management
consider additional staffing to allow for transition of other staff.
