I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This refers to the customer contact center in Omaha, NE
It's a casual call center environment. In the Reservation dept they offer an additional $2 per hour for time passed 5pm. Also, in the Rservation dept they offer an additional $2 per hour for floaters. A floater is someone who allows Workforce to schedule them anywhere from 6am-12am any day of the week for 40 hours, as business needs calls for.

    Cons

This refers to the customer contact center in Omaha, NE
-you are a number; not a person
-they nitpick about little things, like how many minutes you are in the bathroom, and will literally send supervisors to find you
-they make up rules as they go, and write associates up without informing anyone of the policy. Just recently associates have been written up if they take more than 2 minutes to clock in, find a place to sit (the majority of people dont have assigned seats, which is disgusting), log onto a computer, open the necessary software, and start taking calls. Associates were not told about this policy before being written up.
-many supervisors in the reservation dept are incompetent
-managers dont keep their word. They lead you on to benefit the company, but dont follow through with what they say
-sometimes associates never get an interview, or even acknowledged, when applying for a position internally. It's insulting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This refers to the customer contact center in Omaha, NE
    - keep your word. If you don't have the power to do something, don't promise it
-treat associates like people. How easy would it be for someone in management to change there lives in a couple of days and work a completely different schedule? It wouldnt be easy. We have lives too.
-promote those that have proven themselves in their current position, and would legitamitly be good for the position. Keep the politics, friends, and looks out of it.
-part of Omni culture is Mirror Image. Managers reallly need to take a long look at what that really means and apply it.
