I worked at One Horn Transportation as a contractor
This is an opportunity much like Century 21 when you are Real Estate agent to attract, work and maintain your own private accounts...Not a place for Entry Level or those without drive! They help with the structure and framework to succeed...If there is an issue, you have someone to talk to,who will aid you in taking care of it. They will not babysit anyone, nor should they have to......Bills are paid on time, every time lending to a AAA credit rating...
If you aren't self sufficient and resourceful, find a job as this is your own business with no one to blame but yourself. At one point they had someone who independently "trained" people with ambition to be a freight broker, but not the experience. This didn't work out well for them, they could have monitored the situation closer.....sometimes computer software is a challenge..... Sometimes let carriers do them wrong and don't really use tools to punish them back.....
Advice to Management
Focus on quality more vs. quantity....When carriers "legitimately" do an agent wrong, must take action to discipline them....If I help grow the company and you don't listen, then let a carrier come back and haul company related freight without recourse, you send the wrong message to people who make your company successful.....The more you do this, the less loyalty you will get from the agent wronged until eventually the relationship is broken beyond repair.....
