    I worked at OneBlood part-time

    Pros

Nice & helpful coworkers who have worked their 5 yrs or more, before new management took off.

    Cons

Small staff in large work area, turns out no newcomer stays long due to management incompetency. As a new hiree I was told there would be leniency re: my work for first month (to give me time to adjust), yet every 5 days I received an email detailing how much improvement I needed. Verbally I would be told how well I was doing, yet no email reflected that mindset. Management stated they do not micro-manage yet the above frequency of above said emails contradicted that. I've never seen a management so full of behavorial contradictions. When I decided to resign manager started to talk calmly to me, then went all Jeryll & Hyde on me, screaming at me to leave immediately. When I started to leave his office he screamed at me to come right back in! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. In 30 yrs of working I never experienced anything like this. I truly pity the next victim who answers their ad. It was the strangest work environment I've ever worked in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company closes for only 2 holidays - Thanksgiving & Christmas - yet you have to make up these days. You choose to close the office, yet employees have to make up the days? HR is totally inept, orientation was a joke, ie, telling us harassment policy would be explained at training. At training we were told this policy had already been explained during orientation! 2nd week there I had to some training & received printed certification of course completion. Following week did 8 hr policy training & despite showing staff my certificates of completion, I had to retake these courses! HR didn't return emails, gave little notice for training days. Had to run after HR to get part-time insurance info. Honestly, this company worries me from a health point of view - if admin is so incompetent, I'm concerned about what they do for a living.
