I have been working at Oracle full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Comparable salary with other companies, great salary as an entry level position. Most managers are very supportive of the work you do and the goals you set. They are very willing to help you achieve your goals as well. Some managerial staff can micromanage, but I think that is reminiscent of most, large corporations.

The company culture is driven off competition. The level of competition, although taken seriously is a fun aspect of the job. Typically, these competitions always have a reward.

There is also a lot of potential for growth as well. I have never felt I was in a stagnant position, and my work reflects the drive to get promoted.

    Cons

As I mentioned before, some of the managers can have a very hands on approach. This sort of micromanaging can be frustrating at times and often results in a poor return on time investment. For instance, having meetings about producing activity instead of actually generating activity. Again, this can vary from manager to manager.

In an entry level position, employees are held to revenue quotas. This is a con because those of us in an entry level position do not have the capability to close deals nor is there a hands-on approach during the sales cycle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have trust in your team members and let them produce.
