Current Employee - Consulting Technical Manager in Charlotte, NC

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Big technology firm
Access to several types of technologies
Access to several training courses at lower cost
    Flexible schedules, home office allowed

    Cons

Poor engineering department with little or no investment to increase quality
Promotions only happen if you decide you are going to leave the company
People hired from outside are given higher titles and salaries than the ones with a much longer tenure in the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more on your own staff and bring up quality on the development.

    Positive Outlook
