Many of the staff members are super - a few bad apples spoil the bunch.
Very cliquey atmosphere, upper management disorganized. No HR to mitigate staff issues. Husband and wife team ownership - disconnect between management styles. Many of the staff have been there too long (and their first jobs). Zero room for outside input, suggestions on how to improve.
Advice to Management
Get some HR personnel and the company will flow much better.
