I have been working at Oregon Institute of Technology (More than 8 years)
The majority of people who work here are enthusiastic about the university and the work that they do to the benefit of students, parents, and the community.
Administration gives lip service about really, really caring for employees and the "behind the scenes" union workers. Group appreciation events where "you are all awesome, we are so proud" should be an occasional attempt to build moral, not the only attempt. Bragging points include faculty with industry experience, but it's difficult to get quality, experienced professionals to take a significant decrease in salary to leave their day jobs and teach.full time.
