Poor management and unorganized. Not ready to be a competitive systems integrator.

I worked at Orion Systems Integrators full-time (more than an year)

    1. Salary was competitive with the market, but with no real commitment to expanding the business outside of their comfort zone.

    1. Poor management across the company
    2. No opportunity outside of the core group that founded the company
    3. Indecision in their business model that poorly impacts to their hires
    4. Health benefits and other company incentives are subpar.
    5. Pay their employees once a month!
    6. Challenging environment for anyone not of the same ethnic background as the majority of the company.
    7. And most important...the attempt to alter a predefined compensation plan to the benefit of the company. Very shady and unprofessional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a commitment to the lines of business in the company...and then stay within that plan. Deviating from that plan when you hire an individual to perform a specific task (as I fully expected would happen) causes nothing but riffs and turmoil internally. The ending of my role with the company was the most unprofessional circumstance that I have ever encountered in my otherwise successful career.
