I have been working at Outreach full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I've been in organizations that suffer from the negative inertia caused by suffering sales and shrinking budgets. It's a painful place to be. Outreach is a dynamic, expanding organization that provides so many opportunities for positive impact in the world and career advancement. It is a privilege to be involved in the energy and purpose of this organization.

    Cons

Outreach is a performance-based organization with the accompanying expectations of results. It can be stressful while at the same time fulfilling. That very stress, however, helps keeps people engaged and the organization healthy. I'd far prefer that type of stress than the stress of wondering when the next round of lay offs was going to happen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep your eyes on the mission and vision and strive to keep the business serving the ministry.
