I worked at Ozburn-Hessey Logistics full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

they will hire you with little to no experience so it can open a door for you to get into this business.

    Cons

there "training" methods basically consist of having you memorize a bunch of commands to type into the system without ever explaining to you what you are doing or why. the managers delegate training to team leaders, who then pass it on to whoever is nearby, qualified or not. what ever salary you agree on when you are hired will only minimally improve over your time there. i'm talking about raises of .33 cents a year. there is a constant level of drama which stems from managers having favorites, people gossiping and being overly involved in each other's personal lives and just general immature nonsense. you will not get a promotion... not ever. the people who are currently in supervisory positions have been there since the ice age and you have no chance of taking a step up. basically just a general feeling of being very replaceable and not cared about. the turn over rate is very high. if you have no experience then take the job, learn what you can and try to get out in a year or so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

take a few minutes of your day to stop chatting(in Spanish no less), sharing recipes, gossiping, texting, etc. and train someone, speak to your employees find out what is going on outside your office. and maybe pay a little!!!
