Working for animal rights full-time makes PETA a great place to work.

I have been working at PETA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Being a part of a dedicated staff working for progressive change and witnessing victories for the animals everyday is invaluable.

The three things I like best about PETA are:

Its focus on ALL animal rights issues and team of individuals that share a common spirit and drive to accomplish goals on behalf of animals

As a member of the Communications department, I appreciate its sensitivity to current events and timing and sense of urgency in pursuing animal rights issues.

Its professionalism in structure, undercover investigations, and public affairs

    Cons

I would like to see the organization have a better sense of maintaining and cultivating its dedicated staff for long-term organization growth (regarding work changes, promotions, and advancement).

(While not letting criticism slow us down), more sensitivity to negative public feedback re demonstrations and campaigns in formulating future campaigns would be beneficial (not only focusing on current campaigns but also analyzing their success to ensure a long-term development of the animal rights movement).
