Constant push to sell with low payouts for tellers compared to mgmt. Pay/merit increases extremely low for tellers.

Former Employee - Teller in Myrtle Beach, SC

I worked at PNC Financial Services Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Had friendly coworkers and worked inside

    Cons

    Lack of staff
    Some Gallup survey questions unrealistic
Low pay scale for Tellers in relation to responsibilities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Revisit Gallup questions; reward tellers with merit increases in line with their contribution to PNC. Work harder to retain valuable employees (assets) with not just recognition, but monetary awards. Your tellers work hard to keep your customers happy and being on the front line is difficult, at best, dealing with the public. Stop taking staff away for meetings (on how to sell sell sell) from already staff-strapped offices.... Leads to unhappy customers, which leads to low Gallup/CIQ, which ultimately effects the branch, right down to the teller and through no fault of their own. Be more realistic for the front line and not by increasing the CIQ metric goals.
