I worked at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The only things that I would say are good is that they are wanting to help their customers.

    Cons

benefits, pay, pushy in sales, fire you in a min, alot of work for not enough pay, short staffed, few branches, working in a branch is the worst.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to recognize the good workers that they have and realize the ones that seem to be good employees are not. They get rid/lose perfectly good employees because they either do not treat them right or they fire them over something so small and don't look at how the employee is overall. I have seen numerous times that they have laid off employees and paid them through the rest of the year just because they are making too much. You are losing awesome employees because of this. Everyone is only looking out for themselves. What seems like a team is not. Don't let them fool you they will throw you under the bus as fast as they can. People who are at the corporate level are better off. In branch is horrible. Employees go home with extremely high blood pressure, stressed at all times and it never stops. The work they have to do because they are short staffed is ridiculous. One person could have 20 different things to do in the midst of helping customers, answering phone calls, training other employees, ensuring they have given 5 star service. Things are shoved down the employees throats about goals and 5 star service that by the end of the week or end of the month when the results are in they are sweating bullets hoping they still have a job. Things need to change. You have already lost MANY employees because of little things that one day you will find out that you only have crappy ones or none at all. I do not think PNC will be in St. Louis for long. Im sorry to inform you. If you do not change your ways and start treating your employees the way that they should be treated then you might as well start packing and hope they have a job for you in Pittsburgh. If you really want some insight in your branches. Talk to your former employees. The ones you have now will not say anything because they are afraid of losing their jobs. Your former ones have nothing to lose.
