I worked at Paladin as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

The contract advertised is for a large retailer who has been around for ages. Contract copywriters, especially, up and comers can gain some really valuable experience from a staff well-positioned to offer training and meaningful edits. Great resume builder.

    Cons

Long-term, anyone who is creative or wants to continue growing will get bored writing about he same apparel day in and day out. Unpredictable workloads. You are either cramming to finish 50-60 descriptions per day or more, or there is no work at all, and management tells you to go home or not come in at all for weeks at a time. Not a great situation for someone who depends on a steady paycheck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The team managers are great people who build up their staff and contract help as much as they can. They try their best to solve the challenges and logistics issues that are completely out of their control.
