    I worked at ParMed full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Part of Cardinal Health so benefits are not bad.

    Cons

    Management is sneaky, unprofessional and lies a lot. Don't believe the line that you will be making a 100k in a year or two. They start you out at $12 and hour plus commission, still haven't figured out how they come up with 100k. No one in Dublin office making anywhere near that! Lucky to make a couple hundred in commission. Management just says these things to get you to take the job and then they string you along with a lot of lies. They like to hire people right out of college because they are naive and just lucky to have a job. They think if they hang in there for a year or so they can go somewhere else and be a real pharmceutical rep. The accounts you are given are not distributed evenly. Some people get several actively buying accounts averaging several thousand dollars and others are given one or two accounts with maybe a hundred or two average. When you confront them about how unfairly the accounts are distributed they get defensive and act like they don't know what you are talking about. If you question anything with management you are on their targeted list and they will get rid of you. I have never worked in such horrible place. Atmosphere there is very tense and everyone still working there just trying to hang in there for a year so they can apply elsewhere within Cardinal Health.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Not sure who you think you are fooling, especially uppe rmanagement. You say that accounts are distributed fairly because "you supposedly don't look at how many and how much of buying accounts each rep gets." It is so obvious that before you even get out of training you have your favorites and they are given the best accounts. Anyone that you don't want to keep you just give them the crap accounts. It is so easy to manipulate accounts so that you can get rid of anyone that you label a troublemaker or don't like. You aren't fooling anyone with your lies, everyone just afraid to say anything for fear of retaliation.
