You earn plenty of paid vacation time, amount of time earned each pay period is based on your length of employment. There is a small incentive bonus check if you manage to meet the goals set by company each quarter. There is a nice health benifit package offered and also 401k plan. Most of the jobs have on the job training.
Quarterly evaluations do not fairly evaluate your performance and there is some favoritism shown during evaluations. More specialized training would improve the performance of many of the departments. While the company says it welcomes feedback, when they recieve it it is downplayed or ridiculed. There is very little recognition for good performance and good performers often recieve the exact same evaluation as a poorer performer does. Callouts for any reason count against your incentive bonus. Career opportunities are almost impossible to achieve if you start out at the bottom since the upper levels rarely change to enable you to move up the ladder.
Advice to Management
Be much more fair in how you evaluate your workforce. Those that are actually putting their all into doing their jobs will not do so forever recieving the same payraises and evaluations as the ones who are just doing the minimum. Recognizing good employees means that you recognize the work of more than the same handful of people each time. If you have a high turnover rate of employees leaving a department, maybe you should take a look at the reasons they are leaving in the first place.
