I worked at Parkwood International full-time (More than a year)
Most of the folks at Parkwood are quite friendly and eager to help.
Management. Nothing about Parkwood is as it seems. Management has unrealistic expectations, communication is poor between management and new-hires and, as a result, new employees are left having to guess what expectations are. As a result, Management is constantly "disappointed" in performance and is always caustic in their insistence that new-hires "should have known what to do." Example: When a new-hire shows up for their first day of work 10 minutes prior to the start time given, it comes as a shock when management immediately chastises them for not arriving at 5 AM, regardless of the fact that there's nobody at the office at that time of the morning. When questioned about this, it's telling that management's response is that the new-hire should have called them at home, awakened them and demanded that they come let the new-hire in. Nevermind that mobile or home numbers of management haven't ever been supplied... The company's incredibly high turnover is a testament to this. In the 4 years that has elapsed since my time at Parkwood, there are only 2 out of 15 recruiters who still work for the company. This is hardly surprising since those two are partners in the company.
Advice to Management
Lighten up! Maybe it's time for Hal to retire.
