I worked at Partnership for Public Service as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

The Partnership invests in its staff, including its interns (fellows). The program for fellows is very good and the brown bags and workshops were incredibly useful. I also loved the buddy system where each new staff member is partnered with another staff member based on the person's background and interests. At the same time, it is important for fellows to speak up when they feel underutilized. It took about the first month of my term for me to feel like my supervisor trusted me with more challenging work but if I had spoken up sooner, I could have started to work on more interesting projects even sooner. Apart from the fact that fellows receive stipends based on their level of education, fellows also receive 3 sick and vacation days each during their respective terms.

    Cons

While the Partnership prides itself for being a relatively "flat" organization, it does take some time to figure out the actual landscape of the organization and how to interact with other members of staff.
