    I have been working at Payless ShoeSource full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Quick advancement, opportunity for raises comes up often (regular performance reviews given), flexible scheduling available from most managers, can usually find a store within a comfortable distance from wherever you live, coworkers generally decent, coaching sessions can be really helpful if your manager does them

    Cons

    People don't appreciate good employees, pay is fairly low even for store leaders, there tends to be a high turnover rate, standards apply to every store regardless of location/volume, often upper management doesn't take you seriously, sometimes you regret being open with them

    Differentiate between stores, listen to what even low - level employees tell you, offer more competitive pay
