Decent benefits, average pay, good work-life balance

Very narrow, old-fashioned mentality with lots of problems not just in technology, software, etc. but management, work ethics, integrity and other organizational issues which to me are a lot bigger and harder to fix. It's like some of these issues are in the company's DNA now and cannot be eradicated unless there is major overhaul of resources. Only way that could happen is if they move out of the Ghost City and close to Austin so they can get some better work force.

This is where you go to end your career, possibly if you're very close to retirement then it's a good option.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to bring PEC back into the 21st century which means starting with moving it to Austin or San Antonio where you'd get a much better pool of work force with better work ethics and integrity. No one would be motivated to come work in the middle of the hill country unless there are big incentives, which there aren't. There are a lot of issues with management that includes favoritism, unjust and unfair practices with employees and lack of communication. These cannot be fixed with software and will go on forever unless addressed.
