I have been working at Peet's full-time (more than a year)

Decent compensation, fantastic product, stores smell wonderful. Customers are, for the most part, really kind and fun. Decent training for lower-level employees. Company cares and has passion for products they sell.

Impossible sales goals, undue pressure causes ridiculously stressful work environment for management for a coffee shop. Upper management (district and regional managers) lack people skills and rule by fear and threats. Zero motivation, role modeling, encouragement. This ugly behavior from above trickles down to all levels of hourly staff and makes for a terrible work environment for all. Turnover, especially among management, is very high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn something about leadership. See, there's this concept called transformational leadership and it works a million times better than the darth vader style you currently employ.
