I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than 8 years)

There are many opportunities to learn and develop your professional capability. If you are starting out with this PepsiCo or one of their subsidiaries, take the opportunities to learn as much as possible so you develop in the future. A career here will open multiple doors in the future, that path you choose is completely up to you.
There are many groups for you to join to express your culture and values. With these groups you can really make a difference enlightening individuals you work around as well as out in the community when leading events to make a local impact.

PepsiCo is life and though work-life balance is preached don't expect to be separated from your phone/ email for too long.
They really preach about the values the company has (which is quite contradictory), but when it boils down to the basics the almighty sales dollar wins. It doesn't matter at what cost, whether that cost is monetary or an individual all ethics go out the window just to make sure everything rolls up to inflate the stock price for the shareholders.
Its all about what are you doing for me now, once successful achievements are in the past, don't bother using those as leverage
Very political and though results really determine your success its all about how good you are in with the right people at the right time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There are great practices that are preached to be followed starting at the HQ level but once released down to be followed they fizzle out very fast.
People are what drive your organization, from the execs down to the men and women placing product on the shelves. Until you stop living in fantasy land and really address the problems from the bottom up, you will always have a culture issue no matter how many great press releases you issue.
