Current Employee - Warehouse Material Handler in Lynchburg, VA

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than 3 years)

This company offers excellent pay bit that is all. The outside discounts are nice as well such as deals on cell phone plans, tickets, and the purchase of a car.

I have been in warehouse as a material handler at frito lay for 3 years and all full time employees rarely get a day off. I have not had a day off in three months and even then it is only 1 day off every 2 months. Never do I receive my regular 2 days off unless I take vacation. This company would rather waste money paying atleast 4 people per day double time than hire more people to cover the gap. The work is very physically demanding and having to work 7 days a week with some if not all those days being 12 hours can be exhausting. Sadly, this company cares nothing about their finances or their employees. They need to hire more people not only in warehouse but also in manufacturing yet they refuse to do it and the supervisors there are not useful. They do not value employee input and they take weeks to get back with you on a simple question you ask them. If you are single and dont like free time, go for this job because you will love it! If you have a family and want to spend more than 5 hours a day with your loved ones, do not even consider this job.
