The pay rate is the only thing I can think of. Oh yes, the retirement benefits are pretty good.
Long hours, depleting benefits over the years, cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Issues with the ordering system and handheld devices that are just brushed off as if they don't exist.
Personal days that (technically don't exist) but, we have them and are a ridiculous mess to use. A point system that is defunct; using sick days gets you points, so, if you use all your 5 sick days you are borderline terminated.
Advice to Management
A lot of talk of family, but, I'd like to see my real family. I didn't sign up for the military and we're not saving lives, so I'd like to get some free time.
Whilst a higher pay rate is achievable it requires learning every job including shipping and receiving, order management, scheduling, inventory management and various items that the zone and facility operation management must be known before even being considered for the raise. Thus, it takes years to learn everything with the time and effort it doesn't really justify the 3 dollar an hour raise. So, perhaps a tiered pay raise as the employee learns new tasks would be advisable. Just a thought.
