Great experience, good people, unhealthy company.

    Pros

-Great technology exists from Lexmark's acquisitions, giving PSW advantages in the marketplace.
-Opportunity to work with high profile, Global 2000 companies and their C & D-levels (great networking)
    -Good people to work with

    Cons

-Compensation - below avg base salaries with avg comp rates, but historically unattainable quotas with the worst part, it takes 5-6 months to be fully compensated on a closed won deal. So when you think OTE, understand you better be at your # by end of Q2 (June) if you want to see it on your W2 (the reason why we're in sales). No reason for it not to be 30-45 days like every other SW company.

-Cliquish - other reviews allude to it and its obvious. My advice would be to only take the sales gig from the KC area, don't do it remotely. Definitely witnessed manage-as-you-go rules and policies shape to see sales reps make their #'s on others hard work (good and bad depending on what side you're on)

-Profitability - Apparently the company hasn't been profitable, which seems crazy for their offerings, services, and large customer install. Witnessed consistent company-wide layoffs each year.

-Integration - Always a challenge for acquired technologies, but it felt like we'd put the cart in front of the horse in terms of vision, roadmaps, etc., leaving Professional Services with a looong, messy implementation and a headache to deal with.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring in an experienced Exec who has had history running a grow-by-acquisition SW company from an operational level.
