    I worked at Philips Design & Research as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

    Work live balance. No crunch periods. Big corp infrastructure and straightforward support by a dedicated secretary makes up for a lot of shortcomings.

    Cons

    Team efforts are funnelled ineffectively. Requirements for project based work are adjusted to management request. Micromanagement. Little overlap in team skills. IT support was horrendous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make sure that your team is able to do excellent work by getting out of the way during the creative process. Ideally starting of a project with clear requirements and fostering a constructive performance review process instead of
