Peers were great however management seemed indifferent to the suffering of the staff.

I worked at Phoenix NAP full-time (more than 3 years)

One thing that everyone liked were the benefits of working there, like free soda and tea. Also free lunches made in house, decent insurance coverage for the employee.

While the personal growth available may have been good no one wanted to learn anything new due to the managements process of making you responsible for more projects without compensation for the additional responsibility. The work-life balance was almost non-existent. Promotions were a joke, Their idea of a promotion was as I stated before more responsibility with an almost non-existent pay increase. The company had no incentive for the employees working 2nd and 3rd shift, just work it or leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advise to upper management would be to start listening to employees that have already left the company in the last 6 months. Pay your employees what they deserve as an IT professional. Stop grinding up your employees and spitting them out like unimportant grease in your wheels that simply help you to slide by. Give employees more reason to come to work, to be excited to work for your company. Getting discounts on gym memberships is not enough, when they don't make enough money to pay for the membership and the company provided insurance for their families. Take a look at what other companies are paying their employees and at least match them.
